Bali.

I decided to make the most of the last of my annual leave and head to Bali for the weekend – it was wonderful!

It was an early start – we wanted to make the most of our 4 days. I was tired but we were in Ubud by 9am.

We stayed in a cute little homestay with a lovely garden and a pool, and spent 2 days shopping, eating, relaxing and exploring the Monkey Forest.

Ubud was so chilled – lots of health food (hello hummus!) and pretty green places. 2 days was no way near enough, but we were desperate to get to the beach.

We spent the last 2 days in a place called Bingin, South Bali. It was b-e-a-utiful. The area is famous for its waves and was full of surfers – I’ve never seen anything like it. The waves were so vast and were perfect rolling barrels. So fun to watch πŸ™‚

It was a seriously relaxing break. We rented mopeds one day to go and visit Uluwatu – another beach and famous temple to watch the sunset.
